We brought approximately 50 tons (around 100.000 pounds) of soil in four different colors from war torn territories and created a video performative art piece. During the opening, I was buried under the soil for approximately 3,5 hours while night vision cameras were recording and projecting my image on the two opposite walls. This is the title, I know it is a bit long " I am EARTH. You spring from my womb and will return to me. I assimilate everything you do, your poison and your kindness. I soak up the rains and the winds, both spring showers and hurricanes or earthquakes. And I give back life - put dirt on it and I'll give you flowers. My memories are the fields, the forests, the hills, the rivers, lakes, and seas. My words are mountains. Time is a pattern running across my sands, my clays, my rocks, my loam. Walk over me and feel my breathing, hear the blood coursing through me. Ask yourself, do you really know me? "
